Dear reader
With the days getting shorter and Autumn starting to take hold do you ever have a day of loving food?
The day started with a banana smoothie courtesy of a recent purchase a Breville UK blend active.
Followed by a scrambled egg filled bagel
It set me right up for a morning of productive IT work finishing off my ITQ unit (IT based NVQ).
Lunchtime came and a home made Chicken and Mushroom Pie (my dads creation-Thankyou) with vegetables delicious.
After lunch we decided to take a trip to Metrocentre to see the new critically aclaimed film Gone Girl a film adaptation of the thriller novel by Gillian Flynn. I hadn't read the book prior to seeing the film but having been gripped by the trailer and heard great reviews i couldn't wait to see it.
"This
film unearths the secrets at the heart of a modern marriage. On the
occasion of his fifth wedding anniversary, Nick Dunne reports that his
beautiful wife, Amy, has gone missing. Under pressure from the police
and a growing media frenzy, Nick's portrait of a blissful union begins
to crumble. Soon his lies, deceits and strange behavior have everyone asking the same dark question: Did Nick Dunne kill his wife?"
I don't want to spoil the outcome of the story by my thoughts on the film but all i will say to review it is:
It was a mesmerising film gripping from start to finish and left the cinema with questions in my mind, so many twists and turns unexpected and not predictable storyline.
now what was i saying about Autumn nights taking hold, nothing better than ending the day with a bowl of hot leek and potato soup and french bread..
With that the first weekend of blogtober is over, its been jam packed and interesting how on earth is next weekend going to live up to this you hear me ask.
Claire x
